I finally applied the limestone texture to the building, it looks really appealing to the eye but like what John said it would be really hard to create a realistic looking building without losing the campaigns and be able to identify them. The church with the textures could be potentially used in the future of this project once it has been developed further both technically and ascetically.
Below are some images that show the new limestone texture that was applied to the building.

Week 12: Progess
I decided to go ahead with applying the church with limestone textures and see how that would look for the project. My initial role in the group was to create a textured building for the project and I decided it was the right idea to stick to it.
I did some research on how limestone at the time would look and found a few images that would really suit the church. I then looked for the right limestone texture that I would them apply to the building.
Whilst doing this I had to keep in mind that the campaigns still need to be seen and identified easy so I need to choose a texture that was going to allow us to see the parts of the building at the same time keep the church looking good and also load quickly in the project.

Week 11: Progress
This week John James came in and I was able to show him the textures that I have been working on for the building and clarify further what kind of materials exactly the building was made out of. After speaking to John he really liked the textures that I had done for the building but wasn't really interested in having them in there for the project as it would take up too much space in the file and make the game load a lot slower and it was harder to tell each of the campaigns in the building.
This week I removed the textures from the building and left it in the original state the building was given to us how the client wanted it.
I also had a think about whether or not I should consider creating a building with limestone textures as that was the material John Said they would have used to build the building at that time, and present this to John when he comes in next as a potential possibility for the project as it progresses further in the future.
Below are images of the building back to its original state after removing the textures.
